One of the beautiful creations of nature includes the wide variety of natural stones, the sublime material. Every creation is unique in its own way, and they don’t even reflect the properties of one another. The stone’s composition and its origin are what makes the stone’s lustre, toughness, color tones, and variations a possibility that we endure. The magnificent blend makes the natural stone one of a kind.

One of the natural creations is Marbles, a known stone used since the prehistoric times by ancient greeks and kings. A piece of earth born artistry and aesthetic beauty., Marbles are formed by the limestones due to the high pressure and geological processes followed. It is a metamorphic rock composed of recrystallised carbonates, minerals named calcite and dolomite. And it is termes that any stone that can be polished except granite can be called as marbles. This includes serpentine, travertine, limestones and onyx for instance. 

Marbles are available in a variety of colors, and different veinings and sizes. Colors that incarnate due to the presence of minerals like silt, clay and sand and some of the color tones – pink, white, grey, gold, beige. However, the purest form of marble is found in white color. Not only white marble but all the colors are translucent marble types and do boast quality and natural shine. They are known for its textures, strengths and durability.

Besides marbles are resistant to heat and fire, certain precautions need to be taken care of when thinking of owning marbled interiors. Warnings like, marbles should not be used in the high traffic areas where dirt and sand are your uninvited guests on a daily basis. One should never leave the citrics, or acids or chemicals on the marble floor. Marble floors should be cleaned with a damp cloth then be dried with a soft cloth. Bleaches and normal household acidic cleaners should be avoided. It may give rise to dull marble conditions. Lastly, in order to prevent the scratching and staining, sealing of marble placements should be a consideration. Marbles do require a little extra maintenance and care.

In the ancient times , the kings and greeks made a smart choice in opting for marbles as the stone they wanted to use for the architectural constructions.
